2012 Peacemaking Conference at Ghost Ranch
July 11- 14 (departures on July 15), 2012
RESTORERS OF STREETS TO LIVE IN
The 2012 Peacemaking Conference will explore the Reign of God as expressed in Isaiah 58:12, holding fast to our call to be the “restorers of streets to live in.” This conference invites people from across the country to live simply in intentional community with rustic accommodations and shared facilities in the sacred space of Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico.
Morning contextual Bible study will provide a foundation for the conference to address current situations on the street by Connecting, Confessing, Blessing and Venturing forward in seeking peace. Afternoon skills training (nonviolence, respectful dialogue, global discipleship, building peace and others) and artistic interpretation (social networking experience, photography, writing, music and others) will nurture creativity and energy in taking next steps with imagination, vision, hope and wisdom to be a “restorers of the streets to live in.”

Margaret Aymer, associate professors of New Testament at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia
