Mainha,
Mom,
You are a constant rain of blessings and joys in our lives. God gifted me with you as my mother and everyday I thank God for your life. You have showed me the zeal for the things of God, and a faith that moves mountains, fighting the daily struggles and being committed to the poor. You taught me to love the world and the least of these. Your singing, prayers, faith and love for the poor formed me in a way that shapes my life and feed my commitments of struggle and faith. If today I fight for the wretched of the earth, is because of what you, unknowingly perhaps, taught me to love them. Mom, you are the most wonderful mother there is! I am a child deeply grateful to God and so blessed to call you my mother.
Your youngest son,
