Today, December 16, 2011, died Joãozinho Trinta, a very important person in the recent Brazilian history. Joãozinho translated and invented the Brazilian soul in many ways, through many carnivals, expanding a thread of happiness throughout the Brazilian society that feeds on joy, imagination, acceptance, celebration, dream, hope and resistance.
In his work, the Brazilian people saw itself in a mirror through a complicated mixture of faith and multiplicity, pain and joy, luxury and poverty, misery and dream, exuberance, struggle for freedom and a deep passion for life .
That his death will be an eternal reminder of the the Brazilian joy!
Rest in peace Joãozinho Trinta… If your people dance, celebrate and believe,
it is because of you too.
